North Chicago Transportation Plan

The interrelationships between land use and multimodal mobility is one that the City of North Chicago has understood for decades. Home to international corporations, military installations, medical, industrial, and educational facilities requires the City to carefully balance the needs of each use and institution. With significant expansion and redevelopment pressure facing the City, a unified transportation plan was needed. A thorough evaluation of planned growth was coupled with needed efficiency improvements in roadway, transit, pedestrian, and parking infrastructure to provide the City and its stakeholders with a plan that would ensure meeting the demands of future generations.
