Schaumburg Transit Service Assessment
Commuter bus and rail, shuttle services, paratransit, cabs, and non-motorized circulation all combine to form one of the most interconnected transit systems outside of a major urban area. Maximizing the efficiency of the system and ensuring responsible use of limited funding requires all players at the table. The Schaumburg Transit Service Assessment brought the players to the table to determine what is working and what is needed to improve the system. Technical input meetings, public outreach events, use of traditional and web based input solicitation methods all contributed vast amounts of data to the project. This data was organized and refined in to enhancement recommendations that were then retested with the stakeholders to ensure the success of the project for all involved.
