Sheridan Road Streetscape Plan

During difficult economic times and/or in dealing with challenging economic sites, it is often the municipality that must come to the table with the vision and financial means to make the first step. Abutting an important redevelopment site to the City, the Sheridan Road Streetscape Plan was North Chicago’s moment to step forward. Right-of-way adjustments, designated curb cut locations, street furnishings, landscaping, and connectivity to pedestrian circulation systems were all amenities designed by the City. The installation of the identified improvements are being undertaken in a phased strategy with abutting property owners and in coordination with planned capital improvements.
